Welcome to Hope, a supportive space created by Purnima Raj designed for reflection, manifestation, and sharing your heart with a compassionate community. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the My Hope App. By accessing or using the App, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the App.

Using the App & Service Description

Hope provides a platform where users can:

  • Write and securely save personal hope entries.
  • Optionally share these hopes publicly with a global community.
  • Engage with other users’ public hopes through reactions (like, support, love).
  • Store media (images, GIFs) associated with their hopes.

You agree to use the App solely for its intended purpose and in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

User Accounts

  • Account Creation: You have the option to create a user account to access the full features of the App, including saving and syncing your hopes across multiple devices.
  • Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (email and password, if applicable) and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
  • Account Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from within the App’s settings. Upon deletion, your personal information and hope entries will be permanently removed, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Public Hopes & Content Moderation

  • Optional Sharing: You have full control over the visibility of your hopes. By default, all hopes are private. When you explicitly mark a hope as public, you grant Hope a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, perform, and distribute your content within the App’s public feeds.
  • Verification Process: To maintain a safe, positive, and authentic environment, all public hopes undergo a verification and moderation process before they are visible on the public feed. We reserve the right to reject, remove, or edit any content that violates our Community Guidelines (see Section 5) or these Terms, at our sole discretion, without prior notice.
  • Reactions: You may react to public hopes shared by other users. These reactions contribute to aggregated counts on hopes and do not reveal your specific identity to the hope’s creator unless you choose to interact further outside the App.

Ownership of Content & Data

  • Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the content (your hope entries, messages, and media) that you create and upload to the My Hope App. We do not claim any ownership rights over your user-generated content.
  • Secure Storage: We commit to storing your content securely. All hopes are encrypted before being saved to our database, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
  • Data Usage: As outlined in our Privacy Policy, we collect and use anonymized and aggregated data related to your usage and interactions within the App to improve the App’s functionality and user experience.

Prohibited Content & Community Guidelines

To maintain a safe and supportive community, you agree not to post, upload, or transmit any content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Promotes self-harm, violence, terrorism, or any illegal activities.
  • Contains misleading, false, or deceptive information.
  • Infringes upon the intellectual property rights (including copyright, trademark, or patent) of any third party.
  • Contains unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, “junk mail,” “spam,” “chain letters,” “pyramid schemes,” or any other form of solicitation.
  • Impersonates any person or entity, or falsely states or otherwise misrepresents your affiliation with a person or entity.
  • Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.

Violation of these rules may lead to immediate content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of your account at our sole discretion, without prior notice.

Analytics & App Improvements

To enhance your experience and continually improve the My Hope App’s features and performance, we collect anonymized and aggregated usage data. This data is collected using reputable third-party analytics services, specifically Firebase and Amplitude. This data helps us understand how users interact with the App without identifying you personally.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time, at our sole discretion. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the My Hope App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you are no longer authorized to use the App.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. Hope makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the operation or availability of the App, or the information, content, materials, or products included on the App. You expressly agree that your use of the App is at your sole risk.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Hope, Purnima Raj, or its affiliates, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the App; (iii) any content obtained from the App; and (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.
