Your Privacy Matters
We are committed to protecting your data and giving you full control over your personal well-being journey.
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application "My Well-being" (the "App") on both Android and iOS. Our goal is simple: your data belongs to you.
1. User Content & Data Storage
Stored Privately, On Your Device
- All of your personal content — journal entries (including voice notes), mood check-ins, affirmations, breathing logs, milestones, and vision boards (including attached photos) — is stored on your own device.
- On Android, this content is stored in a private database in the app's local storage on your device. The App does not require an account or login, and we operate no backend server that receives this content.
- On iOS, this content is stored in your personal iCloud (CloudKit) container, linked to your Apple ID and controlled entirely by you.
- We cannot access, read, or share your personal content on either platform.
Optional Profile Details
- You may optionally add a name, email, bio, or profile picture. These are optional, are stored only on your device, and are not required to use the App.
Your Control
- You can delete individual entries, or all of your data, anytime from inside the app.
- Uninstalling the app removes the personal content stored on your device.
2. Analytics & App Performance
To improve performance and stability, we collect anonymous usage information.
Analytics Services
- Firebase Analytics & Amplitude
- Tracks anonymous events like “Breathing Session Started” or “Journal Entry Saved”
- No names, emails, or personally identifiable information are collected
Crash Reporting
- Firebase Crashlytics helps identify bugs
- Includes technical device information only
- No personal user content is included
3. Notifications, Images & Other Services
- Push notifications (OneSignal): Used to deliver reminders and notifications you enable. A push notification token is shared with OneSignal so we can send these; no journal, mood, or other personal content is shared.
- Photo search (Pexels): When you search for images to add to a vision board, your search term is sent to the Pexels image service to return matching royalty-free photos. Your personal content is not sent.
- Stock assets (Firebase Storage): The App downloads pre-made images and stickers from our cloud asset storage. This is one-way; none of your content is uploaded.
4. Health Data (Android Health Connect)
On Android, the App can optionally connect to Health Connect with your explicit permission:
- Breathing and meditation sessions can be written to Health Connect.
- Sleep duration may be read on your device only, to tailor suggestions.
- This health data is never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers, and is never shared with third parties. Granting access is optional and not required to use the App.
5. Subscriptions & Billing
Our optional "Pro" subscription is processed by the app store (Google Play Billing on Android, the App Store on iOS). We do not collect or store your payment details. The store handles the transaction and retains records under its own policies. Anonymous events about subscription actions (for example, viewing the upgrade screen) may be recorded by our analytics services.
6. Data Retention
We retain different types of data for different periods:
- Your personal content and optional profile details: Stored only on your device. We never receive or retain this content. It is kept until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app, after which it is removed from your device.
- Anonymous usage analytics (Firebase Analytics, Amplitude): Retained in anonymized/aggregated form for up to 14 months, then automatically deleted or further aggregated. It is not linked to your identity.
- Crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics): Retained for up to 90 days, then automatically deleted.
- Push notification token (OneSignal): Retained while the app is installed and notifications are enabled, and removed when you disable notifications or uninstall the app.
- Subscription records: Held by the app store under its own retention policies; we do not store payment details.
When data reaches the end of its retention period, it is automatically deleted from the relevant service. You may request deletion at any time by deleting it in the app or by contacting us at the email below.
7. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all user content remains in private, on-device (or, on iOS, personal iCloud) storage, we do not store children’s personal content on our servers.
8. Policy Updates
We may update this policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Any updates will be posted within the app and on this page.
