My Well-Being was born from a simple realization:
Most people know how to take care of their bodies — but not their minds.
Stress, overthinking, and emotional overwhelm have quietly become part of everyday life.
We created My Well-Being to be a space where anyone can learn simple, science-backed methods to feel calmer, lighter, and more aligned each day.
What started as a small effort to simplify mental wellness has grown into a trusted resource for thousands of readers worldwide.
🌟 The Founder’s Story — Purnima Raj
My Well-Being began as a personal journey long before it became a blog.
As a working woman trying to balance career and health, I (Purnima Raj) found myself overwhelmed. In 2022, life brought a series of challenges — a diabetes diagnosis, an unexpected layoff, and my husband stepping down from his startup. These events deeply affected my mental health, triggering anxiety attacks and emotional exhaustion.
To cope, I turned to breathing exercises, mindfulness, and books on emotional healing. These tools helped me regain balance, strength, and clarity.
They also sparked a realization:
If simple, intentional practices could help me heal…
they could help others too.
This inspired the creation of the My Well-Being App, launched on 20 March 2023. It started small — with a journal to express emotions, soothing breathing exercises, and affirmation categories like Motherhood, Sleep, and Wellness. The goal was never to build a product, but to offer people a safe space to reconnect with themselves.
Today, that mission continues through both the app and this blog — a place where anyone can find emotional support, clarity, and calm.
Our journey is ongoing, and through My Well-Being, I hope to help people become their own cheerleader in a fast, demanding world.
